Family is all about love. But family is also (especially if Bosnian) all about food. Unhealthy tasty food. Food like pita and baklava. All so yummy. But to be honest – my body feels exhausted afterwards.
After visiting my family in Bosnia last week I’m in serious need of a spring cleanse. Not only of my bags and apartment. But of my body and mind too. So I would love to start with the green diet very soon. Right now I am in the phase of gathering and trying out few recipes before I really feel ready for the full commitment and eat only green for a week or two.
Here is a fast and nourishing green breakfast recipe:
1 green apple
1 avocado
1 Tbls hemp seeds
1 Tbls honey (brought it from Bosnia, YUM!!!)
and a few golden raisins.
Combine the avocado, apple and raisins. Drizzle with honey. Sprinkle with hemp seeds. Chew. Don’t forget to breathe!
